Im in my first year of college and about to be done with the first semester and i was wondering if dropping out and doing the marine corp and then going back to college in 4 years would be a good idea, is there anyone on here that have went to the military after highschool or currently still in that could give me some advice on this subject thanks.

Military will pay for your college. If you think military is the way to go, then go ahead and go. Takes a lot of guts to make that kind of commitment and I hope you make the decision that you want. Not that people on a gaming forum make for you. I wish you the best!

Only you can decide this one.

Why join the Marine Corp for only 4 years??

I have a close friend who joined the Army to learn a trade and see the world, was planning on leaving after a few years.
12 years later and he is still there, best decision he ever made.

As much as I appreciate the family link, do what is right for you.
Are you prepared physically and mentally for what you will do and see? For what you will represent?
As mentioned, they will pay your education so you can still be educated within the Corps.
I seriously urge you to talk to your local office and those around you.
This community is not the place to get such important advice.

If you do decide to join I wish you the best of luck and safety.
If you dont, grab life with both hands and do what you can when you can.

Yes, that's actually a really good idea, and if you want to do it, then go ahead and do so

It all depends on what type of person you are. No one here can give you the correct answer. Just know that Basic is very challenging and you WILL want to leave. Just take some time to think about it before you decide anything. If you need anything else PM me I have a unique situation and would be willing to share with you.
