If i bought advanced warfare or any other game from gamestop for my xbox one is it true i can also get another copy for my 360 for free?

I don't think so, I think if you get it for current gen, trade it in, you either get next gen's half off or free. One of the two, but you can't downgrade and keep both copies.

No, not to sure about your state/Country you can trade in your nex gen copy for a old gen

What about the other way around if i bought it for 360 then get it for next gen. would i still get both copies?

If you bought the "hard disc" copy for 360 you can trade it in for $30. If you buy the One "hard disc" copy you can trade it in for $40.
If you buy the digital copy ON THE 360 DASH you can upgrade for FREE TO XBOX ONE ONLY
