They both come out on the same day which is tomorrow because I ordered the Atlas Limited but my friend ordered the Day Zero.
We're trying to work out what does Day Zero mean and what's different between the 2?

I think day zero means you get it a day early then from the regular release w/o the pre-order.

any pre order will get you day zero which means you get it a day early than the actual release... if you dont pre order it you have to wait until the 4th to get the game

Day Zero is basically the Pre-order,
It means those who get it on Day Zero or pre ordered Day Zero or a better copy eg: Atlas Edition will get double XP today (3/11/2014) and will also receive the bonus weapons + exo skeleton suit

Call of Duty Day Zero will be coming out tonight 12:01am Monday, rather than if you didn't Pre-order the game you would get it on November 4th instead of tonight November 3rd

My friend didn't get it today, probably because it's Sunday. Even though he ordered the Day Zero. So basically everyone will get it tomorrow on actual release no matter what edition of the game?

Amazon have said that I will be getting mine tomorrow, even though I have ordered the Atlas Limited.

tomorrow is day zero... if you pre order you get it on nov. 3rd (monday) if not you have to wait until the 4th (tuesday)
