Okay so im about to attempt to convert my ps3 from CEX to DEX and i just need to know how do i play games if DEX cant read discs or blu ray? Can i download them onto my hdd before i do anything? And if anyone has any tips it would be appreciated. Thank you.

What do you mean if DEX can't read discs or blu-ray? Your firmware has nothing to do with how your PS3 reads discs.

I've read that while your ps3 is on DEX it can't read Blu-ray movies , then someone said it cant read games either while on DEX, then someone else said it can...i literally am confused .

DEX has nothing to do with your disc reader. All DEX does is allow more options on the XMB to show up and be customized and you can connect to menus/tools by using TMAPI (meaning RTM is more responsive and quicker/allows for better mods)
