So i purchased an iPhone 6 from wolly world (walmart.) I had the phone in my back pocket, sat down on a bench at school and it shattered ( from just below the volume down button diagonally to the middle-top part of my phone.... Essentially the entire left corner of my phone..)

I was wondering if apple would replace my phone for free, considering the bending issues the phones have had. possibly i can mention this and say that "the structural support in the phone isn't stable, and the pressure of me sitting down caused the phone to break and slightly bend."

If this isn't a feasible plan, could someone tell me how to go about getting a free replacement, or how much it would cost to replace it.

Wait until is has a defect. Or you can buy a replacement. If you mention the bending issue they wont do anything, cause its somehow "your" fault, according to Apple.

A defect such as? and they'd replace it for free? I currently have the free 90day apple care+ warranty too, if that helps.

Defect as in volume switch not working...home button issue, stuff like that. And yes for free. Warranty doesn't cover cracked screens.

So could I.... Walk in store, with cracked screen, and say "Hey, my volume buttons occasionally don't work, replace it for free." ......Essentially.... and walk out with new phone in hand?

Nope. They need to see it to believe it. (They test it out themselves.)

You broke you're phone so you are responsible for dealing with the consequences of that, not Apple. Phone's aren't mean to be sat on.

Since the phone is bent and has a cracked screen take it to a local Apple store and see if they can help you. They can't repair it but the price they might charge to swap it out is going to be on par with a screen repair.

The screen alone costs almost $400 USD, not to mention the bend in the frame.

Edit:
Also, the whole "waiting for a defect" thing to get a new one for free... if the phone has any hardware damage whatsoever there will be no defect that will make them replace it for free. Once it has hardware damage you are on your own.

Edit again:

If you have Apple Care then take it in there and they should replace it for a small deductible. Not sure the exact price but it is far less that $400.

The question I need to know, is why in the world would you sit on an thin Aluminium phone? Just put it in your front pockets like a normal person.
