I guess it depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you just want to get your data off you could try something like [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - this would allow you to mirror the screen on a TV/monitor (with HDMI support) and use a USB keyboard/mouse to deal with the Pattern/PIN/Password.

Or you could simply replace the screen assembly:

If it is locked with a pattern lock there will be no way to recover the data.

Repairing the screen will give you access to your data and give you a working phone again. Replacing the assembly is fairly straight forward, you can look it up on youtube or ifixit. The screen assemblies aren't too cheap though.
