The keyboard isn't priced on PCPP but I added it so you know what keyboard you should get, or at least something similar. It may be a little over $850 after the keyboard but it's worth it.

EDIT: I went through and no CPU's with a LGA1150 socket would fix the problem. So I changed the CPU and Motherboard. I also changed the mouse and keyboard to different things but to around the same price. Tell me what you think: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

poo. The compatibility note means nothing really. If it annoys you that much, change the RAM, not the CPU andmobo. If you have $1000, you could do better than that, but I thought your budget was $850. Razer products are poo. The quickfire TK is better than that Tt keyboard.

Ok, if you say so regarding the keyboard and the compatibility part. On the budget end it is still $850 but the prices are fluctuating a little (look at the chart on the bottom) and I am going to wait until it lowers again (looking like late today or tomorrow). For example the link you sent me was around $770 without the keyboard the first time I opened it but now it is around $850 without the keyboard. Thanks for clearing that up.

PCPP isn't great for pricing, especially when it comes to delivery costs which they almost always forget to take into consideration and the prices can just get totally mixed up. I'd have put together something on Newegg for you but I just can't use their site. Although, keep in mind, prices change constantly for PC components.

As the clock speed on a Haswell chip rises it lowers the RAMs clock speed, what this error means I think is that you have 2400MHz RAM but it will only run at 1600MHz when the CPU is overclocked. You would probably be better off switching out that RAM for a 1600MHz set.

As far a build goes, down the RAM to a 1600MHz set as clock speed for RAM really isn't important, you could also go for a single channel set instead of dual channel if you want but its not a big deal, find a $65 or so 8GB 1600 RAM set and you're good.

As far as the rest of the build goes its okay but I would change things for preference however that means nothing, as I said just keep the build and downgrade to a 1600MHz RAM set and you're good to go.

It's nothing about clock speeds, it's the voltage. It basically means that when the RAM wasn't running stable at 1.5V so the upped it to 1.65V. Themotherboard only supports RAM up to 1.5V so will only run the RAM at 1.5V. I've heard stories of people saying their RAM has had a shorter life due to this but usually it wouldn't cause too many issues. Most motherboards will underclock RAM to either 1333MHz or 1600MHz, with higher clocked RAM, all you need to do is change the setting in your BIOS. Dual channel>Single channel.

Dual Channel gives around 10% in Benchmarks but not real world tests. Unless the computer is doing heavy simulation or rendering there is virtually no difference between single channel and dual channel RAM.

Also, if you get 1 8GB RAM stick now in the future you can another 8GB RAM stick of the same type and have 16GB Dual Channel for half the price whereas if you get Dual Channel now which is pointless you have to buy a whole new kit.

Even though it gives a slight performance boost in benchmarks, for what most people use their PC for it is not worth it, especially if you are gaming.
