Yosemite is the new OS for Macs which is also coming out Fall 2014.

Im about 90% sure it will come out when they announce everything Sept 9th because that is what has happened almost every year to date.

The iOS 8 GM build will be released on September 9th. This is the final version of iOS 8 before it is released to the public. Everyone and anyone will be able to download it on the 9th, but it won't show as an update on iTunes until a couple of days later.

@OP: Even though Apple has not confirmed this, they do it almost every year so it is safe to assume that they are going to do it this year as well.

As for Yosemite is, that is the project name of the up and coming Mac operating system which again is usually released with new iOS's
