I don't think i'd let my 9 year old kid be possession of a weapon. Not like its the zombie apocalypse and she needs to learn how to use one as soon as possible.

I also don't understand the fact of getting trained with an uzi

Yin wrote I support citizens having guns and think it would be ok to teach kid how to use them safely (though 9 years old is pushing it), but this just seems like it goes against all common sense. A 9 year old with an automatic? Why not wait until they are 13 or something? Why not a small, semi-auto pistol?

Age doesnt matter, accidents can still happen, no matter the age

Ok, let's have 9 year old driving cars then. Let's have them flying planes. Why is a gun treated differently? I'm not saying that the law should state 18 years of age, but I think somewhere in the teens is reasonable.

I was 10 when I first started too learn on how too safely handle a firearm. I started with a .22 caliber handgun and worked my way up. Never have I heard someone learning with an automatic Uzi though! That's crazy! Also at her age, i wouldn't think that she'd be able too handle the recoil in the first place.

Some of the things you see and hear about nowadays are getting to be pretty ridiculous if you ask me, what kind of common sense is it to train a 9 year old how to shoot, with an uzi.. Good logic aa)

I honestly dont think a 9 year old girl should be taught how to use a gun, nor an UZI !

I remember hearing about this on the news a while ago. It was pretty stupid of them to let a 9 year old be taught gun safety starting her out with a fully automatic Uzi...

Another pointless death because of America letting civilians carry guns. I mean letting civilians carry guns is stupid, but the fact there's no law about age, that's beyond.
