If it's tips on actually building your looking for, the best I can give is, NEVER overtighten, use lots of wire ties, not just 3 or 4. It looks scary at first but really not to bad if your concentrate. Ground yourself before building. Hold the components by the edges, you dont want to bend any pins. And don't be disheartened if something doesnt work, check and check again. I don't claim to be an expert, but I was in your position a few months back, and these are somethings I picked up on. Remember to have fun, it's a great experience!
