Got back into hosting and realized how ridiculously common the use of the word legit was. It's like a trend that started in the MW2 days that never quite brushed over. Looking at some of the replies in the modded lobby forums, many of them go along the lines of "leggiiitttttt invite PurpleOGkush69xx 202020", and they don't seem to even know what the word legit even means making it have no merit. This defeats the whole purpose, so why bother even posting it?

I've tried to decipher what their point is but I never can
Perhaps some of other hosters know what I am talking about.

I think reporting would just cause clutter to the staff. Reporting that many posts under one thread seems like it would be a hassle to deal with as all the posts are basically identical. It's like they don't know any better.

I can't stand when people post in my lobbies "Legittttt inv SwegxModsxTTG"
But on the other hand it's nice because my topics go back up to this top, i feel like more people should stop leaching and actually post if it is legit or not and/or thank someone for the lobby because they're spending their own money to give out stuff for free...

I agree with you so much,
Usually what I see is that the hoster says post legit,
and the users receiving the mods think that they have to post legit before they get into the lobby.
It's like they do not know what it means.
They need to seriously not post "legit" until they are in the lobby or after the lobby.

I Agree 110%, I mostly see it when Leechers come on and just Post the word around like its a Cold Piece of Boloney Flapping in the wind. Honestly i can't quite stand it.
I do occasionally use the word "Legit" to clarify that something well...Is LEGIT. Meaning that it is REAL and WORKING. Not Bogus or FAKE in anyway. I use it as it was intended to be use.
I can't count the number of how many members message me or IM me asking to Post Legit on something or Vouch for them when I DON'T even speak to them let alone seen what they provide with my own eyes, or have done any business with them. I speak the Truth and if they don't like it then There's the Door(metaphorically speaking)

Haha thanks for getting my post to 99,000 views. Anyway yeah after i stopped hosting seeing legit everywhere is pretty annoying.

I was trying to get into a MW3 lobby today every post i went to was spammeed with ''Legit please invite _______________'' which clearly meant they haven't been in the lobby and dont know if its legit or not. either way i tried the guy and it turned out to be a private lobby with a guy asking for donations.. great..

I totally agree, the word legit has been used in the wrong sense for way to long when it comes to Modded lobbies. I am thinking about getting back into hosting but I see no point as everything is just filled with little kids that can't wait 5 minutes.

They won't ever learn any better if they are not reported and punished for spamming and breaking character limits.
Staff want you to report things that are not supposed to be there. So, when you see this stuff, report it and staff will take care of it.
