So my friend told me If I had thermal paste. I had no clue what was that so I searched it up. I'M going to buy my pc tomorrow. So I guess it's a kind of paste that you apply on the processor to do something with the heat. but my processor has a built in cooler and im not going to overclock anyhting. So do I need it?

The heatsink that comes with the processor should have thermal paste on it from the factory.

Are you going to be building the pc yourself? If so then yes you will need to apply thermal compound onto the processor. Here is a simple guide:

It might even come with factory paste already applied so then you will not have to do anything.

You won't have to apply thermal paste unless you use an aftermarket cooler. With those components, you're good to go. However, I'd go with something like this instead;

No need to pay $80 for a non-modular PSU when you can pay $60 for a quality unit from XFX. Also, no need to pay that much for RAM. Same brand RAM, same speed, costs less. With those savings, you can fit a 256GB SSD instead of only 120GB. MX100 SSD's were more recently released than the M500's and are much faster so a better choice.
