Blizzard's MMO, World of Warcraft, is set to see yet another expansion entitled Warlords of Draenor.

Warlords, as it is referred to in the WoW community, is set to bring many changes to the well known franchise. These changes include an item and hit squish, which is dropping all of the current stats on armor and weapons, as well as lowering the health of monsters and what players hit on them.

Players have been speculating when the expansion would drop since its announcement. Blizzard originally set a worst case scenario release date of December 20th, 2014. However, the long wait for players will soon be over.

On the morning of August 4th, 2014, Blizzard announced a "Save the Date" for August 14th. Blizzard has announced that, on 9:30 AM PDT in the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, they will release the official cinematic, as well as the date in which the game will hit shelves.

Blizzard has also given a new incentive to any WoW players who attend the live event. "Anyone who joins us live and in person in L.A. will also receive a beta key for Warlords of Draenor."

However, if you are unable to attend the live event, Blizzard has got you covered. At 9:30 AM on August 14th, Blizzard will live stream the event on their website, worldofwarcraft.com

Keep in mind that the past few expansions have been released about two months after their cinematic release and date announcment. It is possible that players could see Warlords playable in mid to late October. This would mean that the pre-expansion 6.0 patch would come live mid to late September. Mark your calendars and make sure to take off work!

Blizzard will also debut the first episode of a new animated lore based mini-series entitled Lords of War on this date.
