Apparently it's 250-300 k/d in order to get shotguns. You could try going to town, putting the difficulty on easy, Making it round 20, Pack-A-Punching your M9 and using mustang and sally until you run out of ammo. That won't bring up your k/d super fast but it'll get you there. Especially since you're 147 already.

Go for it, just know that on the leaderboards it'll be a waste because I'm sure within the next year or so they leaderboards will be filled with round 2 billion with over 2 billion kills and that's all you'll see for pages on end. If you really are serious with this however then record it. I'm sure some people wouldn't mind watching someone get to a massively high round legit.

DrGrim wrote Once again it takes time. I reset my stats in February last year. It took 2 months of round 35+ on Die Rise solo to get to Shotguns. You shouldn't feel as if your rank defines you anyway. I played a game with a guy who had shotguns rank and he did terrible (13 downs in the first 15 rounds).

I also used the reset glitch and I ended up getting my shotguns 2 days after by using a glitch on Buried. I made it to round 76 with 14,500 kills and 0 downs. I also probably made it to round 60 two times to get 30k total kills. I got my shotguns after 25k kills with a 500 kd

You are luckier than I then that's for sure. Like I said though, rank can't really define a person's skill because we have no clue about their stats. I've gotten almost all the achievements on Black Ops 2 (just missing Kung Fu Grip) and Turned is the only reason I'm stuck with a knife rank for the rest of the time I'm going to play.

KD has nothing to do with rank.
You can rank up without killing Z's.
Stats attribute nothing towards rank.
Leaderboard scores also do not help you rank up.

Rank is based off of your recently played games, the average round you reach, and how many downs for each game. Jimmy zeilinski even posted that it is your average round and downs in games played.
Downs in low round hurt you more than in later rounds. This is zombies not multiplayer, having a good KD comes with being a good player it is not a prerequisite of rank. Even if two ppl have the exact same stats their rank will differ because of the way they play ie average rounds reached and downs in games.

Having a high rank means you can survive. Surviving is all about how far you go till you go down or die. This is exactly what the system is based on.
