I smashed my iphone 4 really badtheres no frontoe back screen and i really need my pictures??
Ive searched google and it just says i need to make sure my device can power up
Ican not tell if it is booting up as the lock button is broke...
Is there a way off getting my pictures?
the laptop picks up the phone but wont open it in itunes

If your computer detects your phone but not on itunes try iFunbox.

Once download, run the program.
At the top of the program click on Quick Toolbox.
You have a list of options, one is to export photos from your phone to your computer.
