miaxhurricanes wrote always get automatic for your first car then work on how to drive a manual for the future
My first car is manual and there's not a day I regret it. If you're getting a 350z, get a manual.

Sports car are best manual. If you plan to hit into the power pretty hard time to time then you need to make sure that you don't get a automatic if it's anything more than that. Otherwise you might be paying more money into transmission rebuilds than the car might be worth. However, Manual you also have the problems of potentially blowing up the clutch which is around 70 dollars but may happen more than a automatic does.

If all you'll be doing is an everyday commute? get an automatic. But if you'll have the car and want to drive the car places and explore sometimes? Get a manual. Once you learn, traffic will be easy but sort of annoying. I've always driven stick.

i was in your position at first as well.i thought an automatic would be the best since i live where theres alot of traffic, but my parents talked me into a manual and now im so use to it and its so fun that driving an automatic bores me.

Personally, I'd choose a manual over an automatic anyday. Mainly because when driving, I have to have to change gear, it just feels better knowing that you're controlling something else rather than just letting the car do it for you. Plus, It's easier to drift a real-wheel manual because you can clutch-dip which is helpful. So yeah, manual over automatic anyday, just my opinion

I will use it for everyday commute except for maybe the snow, which I'll use another vehicle in.

Here is what I can say... If you know how to drive manual, get a manual. It will be better for a sports car in the performance anyhow...

If you don't know how to drive manual, and dont have any cars to practice driving manual, I wouldn't try it out on your first sports car. Doesn't seem like a smart idea to me.
