The downvote button really doesn't mean anything special, and it doesn't mean that someone is offended by your post. All it is saying is that someone doesn't agree with what you're saying.

According to the forum tab on your account a downvote is considered an unuseful post. So by someone stating their opinion on posts asking for opinions, is considered unuseful?

Asymmetrical im right with you there. It doesn't bother me when people down vote my post because I don't care. I was saying I don't understand why people do it when people state their opinions.

But, most people view downvotes/upvotes as an indicator to whether or not they like/dislike a post. Like Facebook, Reddit, and most other sites. I honestly don't know how many people are aware that the red "downvote" button on TTG really means that they consider a post not useful.

If you state an opinion and a person disagrees with your opinion, they might use the downvote button to show that they dislike your opinion/post. Just because it's on some obscure part of the site doesn't mean that 100% of the site's users know what the true meaning of the button is.

I Cant Stand When People Make Ur Post As Unussful And It wasnt Suppose To

People are entitled to either approve or disapprove of your opinion. Thumbing up or down just shows that they either approve or disapprove.

Nothing wrong with it imo, everyone has a difference in opinion and the thumbs up/down buttons allows users to agree or disagree without the need to post.
