I have a splinter on the side of my middle finger..
I know I can do a google search, but I wanted actual personal experiences... blah blah blah.

i heard a paste of baking soda or whatever for a few hours then use a tweezer,
but when my grandma used a tweezer to remove a splinter from my foot several years ago, i recall it really hurt.
Any advice for a painfree way to get it out?

If it's in sight , try and pull it out if you can, or get a small pin and I normally scrape it and dig it out, it will always hurt to get one out, but the pain isn't that bad mate

Get a large knife, maybe a bread knife? and chop that finger off. You have no use for weak fingers that get splinters. I have 3 fingers on one hand down to this.

I had a splinter go inside my finger nail and it hurt so bad.
Splinters will go away on its own if you can't take it out.

Well Normally one would use "Tweezers" in a such predicament like this. There really isn't any other way.

TBH thats the only way i know how, never heard of any of these "Other" methods with baking soda or paste. Its not like your trying to get scratches out of a CD.

Really it won't even hurt unless you have like baby skin and is SUPER sensitive to anything, if not then it will feel like a little nudge. Try pinching your finger with your other hands nails, that is how it will feel.

It hurts?, I do constructions, I get splinters and cuts every day due to my own stupidity not wearing gloves and such. Best advice I have for you is to man up and just pull it out with whatever you got, that's what I do.

If it's deep down you'll want to use a knife or needle, preferably needle to get it out, if you want to be on the safe side you can warm up the metal with a lighter to avoid possible infection.

If you just wait a few days - 2 weeks it'll come out by itself.
