Hey guys so I've had turtle beach dx11's and X42's the dx11's broke and i sold the x42's so now i just have a standard 360 mic and a standard xbox one mic, I have money saved up now through job and grad stuff so I'm able to afford a nice headset again. My question is should i get the A40's or the Turtle beach Xp500's which are 55% off on the website for like 72 hours or something like that, any input would be appreciated I'd like to avoid A50's just because i think that $300 for a headset is a bit ridiculous but id be interested in hearing from those who own them as well.

The Turtle Beach XP500 is a great headset It's wireless with Dolby surround sound, programmable (so you can tailor the sound to each part of the game) and it has stereo bluetooth, which provides wireless XBOX chat, answers your mobile phone and streams Bluetooth stereo music. And, it sounds amazing.

So I'd go with the XP500.

Astro or nothing. There is not another headset on the market that compares to the quality and durability of Astro.
And I have used many many other headsets and all of them are no where near astro level.
Including:
TB XP300 TB PX22(2), TB X11, TB X12, TB X31
Tritton Domators(I think), AX720(+)
Steel Series Siberia v2

Over the last 5 years many headsets, and only one is my choice, astro a40.
I was going to buy the a50s but found out that they cut out if not in direct path to the signal box, and also I
cannot take them to LANs. So I bought the Astro a40s.

I bought mine back in January and have never had a problem with them.

Now to save you money, go buy them [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , even though I already had a pair I bought another. just incase anything did happen.

If you have the money, I would just go ahead and get a pair of Astro's. They will last a lot longer then most Turtle beach headsets or at least with my experience.

I have had my Astro's for the past 3-4 months and I love them. I use them on my Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
