Pretty sure that's just a place holder until 343 releases the actual date.

The thing is, if you look at the listing of it, it says October 1st like all other games with a release date place holder. But when you go to the actual page, it says December.

Microsoft has all but confirmed Halo 5 wont launch until at least 2015. If anything it's Halo 2 anniversary.
