I brought a 'JTAGable' xbox back in 2010. Was in the middle of modding it when a 7.4 earthquake hit and never really returned back to modding it.
Anyways, I was just wondering if they still banned people for hosting lobbys on COD4 etc? I always get into them. If they don't ban, i'd consider jtaging the console. Due to the fact I remember back in 2010 you would be banned within the hour and you'd have to purchase kernals.
TLDR: Do you still get banned for hosting lobbys etc on cod4/waw/mw2?

I have been modding COD4 and other games now for about 4 years and i am still on the same xbox live account i have always had! you may get the odd ban if your unlucky but i cant really see you getting banned! all you wana watch is if you post a forum on here with you GT in it and get a load of messages and friend requests THATS WHAT WILL GET YOU BANNED FROM LIVE!

Theres always a chance of getting banned mostly when people report you other then that its rare.

You don't buy "kernals". You have to buy a fresh KV to unban a console. You can purchase time on a server to connect to XBL with a modified console. It's unlikely that you will get banned, but if you do, you can unban your console by purchasing a new KV for $20 or so.
Edit-Also, the JTAG exploit was patched in 2009 so if you are trying to JTAG a console which was updated in 2010, it is unlikely that it an have the exploit performed. You could still, however, RGH the console.
