In some cases your PS3 can be downgraded with an E3 flasher. Many people offer these services on Ebay for around 20-30pound but your PS3 has to be a certain model and NOT a super slim because they can't be downgraded.
So what is your PS3? a slim or phat? I will post a chart and you can check your model on the back of PS3 and match it to chart to see if it is down-gradable.
