Did you save the launch settings? Why not just use your computer to add a default startup location?

Move the launch.ini file to your computer and open it with notepad. Find this:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
and go to where it says "Default =" (In the bottom of my picture) and enter in the location or your default.xex for FSD3. Then just move the launch.ini back to your HDD and overwrite
