Stem wrote I guess they deserve the extra attention as they pay and should be more respected.

So, if someone has for example 4k posts and 2 years on the site they shouldn't be respected because they don't have gold?

Post count does not matter, you can have 4000 posts and have 3999 useful posts because all you do is spam forum. But if someone pays for gold it kind of shows they are dedicated to the forum and are somewhat useful... I mean im not saying there isn't useful non gold members but I am saying I don't really see many useless gold spammers.

They would have been banned if they were to do that, you see how many people just get on the site and buy gold, they aren't dedicated, dedication is posting real posts that help people out, getting on the site everyday, and just generally being a positive effect to the site.

I try not to pay too much attention to whether or not the member is gold, I help everyone out as much as I can. I do agree that gold members get more "attention" around the forums. I don't think it should earn them any respect, but it does kind of show that they are kind of serious about the site.

It makes a difference what type of member you're dealing with..
If I'm dealing with someone from 2013 but they only have 50 posts, you can obviously tell that they only come on here when they need something. However, if I see a post from a member that has been here for a good amount of time and they are active with a good amount of posts & rep, then I will feel like they actually deserve help

Whether any of y'all do it, it is 100% true. If you were to post a thread and you are gold, you get 2x the views/replies/etc. And if you're not gold, then you get nothing.

Some people like to think that they are better because they are gold. They are not.

Respect is something that can't be purchased, it's earned. From what I see around the forums, members are all treated equally. There will always be the minority that see themselves as superior to another member and then in turn treat them in the wrong manner. You don't see this often.

I think everyone should be treated the same I people view it as, there not gold, they are just leeches who have spammed for there posts ect but if you have paid/donated to the site then it shows a bit more loyalty I think so people trust them more and go to them first

Zips wrote I treat everyone the same to be honest. Why should non-golds be treat any different?

That's what I do too. Just because they're not gold doesn't mean they don't know what they are talking about.
