So i bought this jtag of some guy for 70 gbp it was a zephyr . I used 2 rte tools on bo2 , all of a sudden
it crashed , then i got 3 red rings and i had to send it in for a reflow

I bought the iron wolf mod menu for bo2 , but if i use rte tools would i have to reflow again like what causes a jtag needing to be reflowed?

The reflow was needed because the console overheated, it has nothing to do with the console using RTE programs

I've never heard of specific tools causing mortal hardware failure to a RGH/JTAG, it was probably just lucky timing. You might have been using it too long and/or had the fan too low. Get FSD and bump up the fan as loud as you can take it - it will keep it cool and hopefully prevent another RRoD. Good luck!

No, when you bring up the fan speeds a bit the console would stay cooler longer. I wouldn't put it at 100% because when I put my older consoles on 85% it keeps it cooler than it would be at 100%.
