So the news has been released that Arroyo is now moving to the D-Backs to occumpany Mark Trumbo and the rest of the Diamondback crew after his pending physical is complete. Now I believe that with the past two seasons of Arroyo's career he has done particularly well, but in 2011 he had a bit of a "choke" so to speak as you can see below.

Nonetheless, Arroyo is a great pitcher, and a charm for any team that gets their hands on him. What are your views on this signing, was it good? Was it not? And how do you feel about Arroyo as a player.

I'm really surprised the Reds didn't want him. He was a really good pitcher. The Pirates were interested in him at one point, I was shocked that they didn't even pick a guy like him up. Sure, he had some problems, but every pitcher does. In my opinion, the Reds made a terrible choice letting him go.

The D-Backs didn't sign Arroyo to be in competition with anyone. If they're telling Bradley that then they're blowing smoke up his you know where. Bradley's time will come.

In my opinion there are many other pitchers better than Arroyo. He's not bad, but he's not elite nor an ace.

Arroyo i think he's a good sign for the diamondbacks.
Yes he has age and yes he's not the best pitcher in the
World but i do think he will bring great leadership to that
Young arizona bullpen.

I agree, I really wish we would have kept him. We already have 5 solid starters, but it wouldn't have hurt to have Arroyo.

Bronson Arroyo was the man back with the Red Sox organization. He certainly wasn't the best pitcher but he was definitely a quality player for the Red Sox. He took a discount to stay with the Sox and then Epstein deals him to the Reds for some bust DH.

Arroyo was doing pretty well with his time in Cincinnati, he pitched a great start two postseasons ago and I think the D-Backs are getting a smart and valuable veteran to help Patrick Corbin and Archie Bradley develop and help bring the pennant back to Arizona.
