Technically incorrect. HTML IS NOT A PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE. Although it IS a markup language.

Start with python or PHP, strong languages and pretty easy to learn. It will give you an idea on what programming is. You could start with any language. Try some out and find the one you are comfy with.
