I'm debating on buying a monitor to replace my tv for playing on my Xbox. I'm not sure on how it all connects together especially the headset. (Turtle beach 12's)

Can somebody tell me if that pic is correct..

I connect my monitor and xbox using a hdmi cable for the video.
I connect my red and white cable x12 to the RCA adapter and then into the back of my Xbox in place of my component slot?

Monitor: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I've tried to explain it the best I can lol.

Any help is appreciated

You can not fit a HDMI and an AV into the back of the console.

Actually you can... I run my xbox hooked up to an HDTV Monitor and I have an HDMI chord that is hooked up from the xbox to the monitor. But yeah pretty much you hook up an HDMI to your monitor to the small port in the back of your xbox along with that red white adapter. But it all depends on the monitor you get because some are different than others. I have Tritton AX720s and they require a fiber optic cable to be hooked up to the monitor as well as the receiver. I'm not too familiar with the X12's unfortunately... :/ By the way, by the looks of the picture it seems correct except the USB port is in the front of the xbox.

Is your Xbox the Slim? On the Slim you would have to wedge both in there to fit, and overtime bend the HDMI and AV jacks.

You can all you have to do is remove the casing off the AV cable(The part that plugs into the console)and they will both fit.

this is how i have my xbox set up.

Sorry for the late reply. I forgot to mention that I can use the hdmi and avi at the same time by just cutting off a piece of plastic. Hopefully I can have the monitor set up in a week

Thanks for the help
