unfortunately today was a life changing moment for me.

While working (i'm 17) a couple hours ago being in a somewhat bad neighborhood. My car was broking into and my(gps + ipad) plus some little things were stolen. Luckily where i work was locked at the time as he tried to get in there as well and all the windows were covered and they are bulletproof glass. It was devastating. As i proceeded to dial 911 they were quick to respond But arrived in about 30-45 minutes. Then after talking to them i had to wait around another 30 minutes for csi to come in. They found nothing but i did notice a finger print next to where my gps was. An i'm pretty upset because my gps had my home adress and family members adress in it. Now here comes the worst Part.

Where i was working was right next to college i was planning on going too. Now after realizing the type of area it was in I will no longer being attending there as the police officer said they Had this type of situation every night.

But it really got me to thinking. What would happen if i was killed tonight ? I finally realized my life would of been wasted. So it changed my life. I decided that I will do something with my life and i will succeed doing it.

Well guys you have any devastating/life changing stories ? If so please tell me them as im interested to hear!

Burglars overall don't really kill you, they also know it's not worth it to go to jail because of murder while attending a burglary.

That's Crazy Man!!!

The only life changing moment was when I almost lost my mother at the age of 10. I'd rather not explain but it did change me in so many ways.

I know exactly how you feel. In Los Angeles, there are some really bad neighborhoods/ghettos such as compton, and I felt like I was going to get robbed. There is a lot of gang activity in and around those areas as well as south central that I try to avoid, but I am honestly scared when I have to drive around compton.
