I bet it's the power brick and not the console.

Horizex wrote I have only played my Xbox one for about a total of 6 hours since I got it on November 22 since I've been busy with work and stuff but today I decided to play a few games to pass some time I got up and hit the power button on the xbox and it lit up and made the noise then immediately just shut down

Here is an example of what it

So I pretty much payed $500 for a paper weight!

I also have a game in the console I ant get out so if I send it away I'm going to have to get a completely new copy of the game which is ridiculous but I can't say I'm supposed Microsoft is very greedy in a fan of xbox but Microsoft needs to get there **** together

One time i left my XB1 on for almost 24 hours, because i didn't know it was on. But i works fine

if you got it from a store you should write down the serial number and take it to the store and get your new one then give the serial number to someone who would social engineer for a free one such as maybe me?

That sucks big time, if mine broke like that, I would have just gotten a PS4 on the spot.

There is no question it is the power brick.. Mine did the same thing and wouldn't turn on when I took it out of the box, I just had to use a different wall outlet because that one wasn't supplying enough power. The power brick needs to have a white light, not orange

Microsoft were offering a free game if your console was broke so ask them about that too!
