So i've seen this happen to alot of people, they are playing a game, saying how good it is, or are using it in a lets play or as a background to keep the user interested, and they get a copyright strike from some stupid company who OBVIOUSLY don't realize unless it is negative it is FREE advertisement, usage of copyrighted music and shit yeah i understand that, but i bought your freaking game and i can't upload anything about it, which would benefit you? Not sure if companies are retarded or not but if i owned something like activision or some other huge company i would be all for the free advertisement i would get from youtube.

If you run a non-profit channel, put this in the description of your videos;

Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.

Within limits, you can use almost any copyrighted material you want.
If you're partnered with anyone, then disregard, as this will do you no good.
