I've got Turtle Beach x32's they are the best I've ever had. Puts Tritons to shame.

I have always used turtle beaches when playing on any system and they are awesome, the only downside with them is around a year or so the speaker goes out in one ear or the mic cord gets messed up. I wish there was conpany that made a good quality pair that lasts.

I only ever used the default Xbox 360 mic when I played, didn't see the need for anything special.

I'd invest in a pair of Astro's though, if you want to get something nice.
