My old xbox was made during 2007 and currently has the 9199 dashboard.

I've been looking all over searching for if I could jtag it or not and haven't found a single thing.
Do any of you know whether it's possible or would I need to update to the latest dashboard and take it from there? All help is appreciated

Thanks TTG

Looks like your dash is too high for the Jtag hack. If it was made in 07, it's likely a Falcon/Opus.

You'd probably have to RGH it, or update to the latest dash and R-JTAG.

Thank you for the quick reply!
All I am currently interested in is hosting modded lobbies/10th lobbies on Call of duty. Just want it as a little side project. Am I able to do this and if so have you got any helpful tips/sources?

Yes, hosting modded lobbies would be possible using an RGH or R-JTAG, as they are meant to do the same thing, just in different ways. You won't be able to do the original JTAG hack on your console because the dash version is too high.

Considering you have (probably) a Falcon console, I'd recommend you update to the latest dash and go for the R-JTAG hack over the RGH. This is, assuming you intend on doing it yourself.

Google "Team Xecuter". They are currently the only manufacturers of the needed things for the R-JTAG hack. I can't post direct links I'm pretty sure.

Yeah! I've been looking into the Team Xecuter kits. This was the kit name:
NAND-X V3 *RGH Edition* by Team Xecuter

I know that's an RGH kit....Any chance you know any R-Jtag kits? Installing them isn't a problem so i'll be doing it myself!

Google "Team Xecuter R-JTAG kit". I'm sure it'll be on there. Whether you want the starter kit or ultimate kit is up to you.

I've just read up about it now. The main difference listed between the starter and ultimate kits are the JR-2 to edit/write your own nands...Take it that's for the advanced users?:p

Like I originally said. I want something I can just host lobbies with friends with, I think the starter one should work just fine for me.

Since your on a pretty low dash you should go with the RGH 1 hack no need to update to the latest and pay more for the R-Jtag Kit RGH1 have pretty decent boot times.
So what you would need is:
-A JR-Programmer V2 to read and write to nand
-A Coolrunner Rev C.
JRunner program
And some soldering skills

If money isn't an issue, then I'd recommend buying one once you've learned more about them. :p
