Well, sadly no computer is future proof. You can only postpone the inevitable.

However, with those parts, you should not feel the need to upgrade for a fair amount of time. That computer will run any game you want it to for years.

I'm a crazy man and get the upgrade itch frequently though, so parts go in and out of my system very often.

I do give you a solid 9/10 though. Those are good parts that will last you a long time.

Im just an average gamer, but I read that your going to SLI when you need to I think you should maybe get a 1k watt power supply if you want to future proof your computer.

SSD's now you can find pretty cheap you only need to put windows on it.

Here's one for 100$ [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You dont exactly need a i7 Processor, but if you have the money to get it go for it.

8.5/10 Build

I'd pick up this SSD just for some programs and OS, it's worth the extra 80$.

I'd go with this PSU instead: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
It's more watts, it's better quality, it's modular(not sure if the one you chose is), it's cheaper, it's SLI and 4th gen certified.
Probably the top brand of PSUs out there.

This is a great build man! I've still got a Bloomfield i7 (Which is over 5 years old.) that is still working as it intends too. I wouldn't worry about upgrading your computer in about 4-6 years or so. Maybe look into adding more ram and a SSD in the future.

NO PC will be future proof, in a few months better tech will be released, but that does not mean you will be under performing. I mean, I run a top of the line GPU and 1 year later get another on the cheap and run two for a while and then get a newly released card. Usually I only upgrade the GPU, and maybe add ram in my pc. I just keep the same mobo and cpu until I do a complete rebuild which is in like 5 years. But remember, just because better tech gets released, that does NOT mean your computer is out of date or anything, it just means you did not build it yesterday. You'll run everything you need to great without getting some newly released part right away.
