What is the difference between Tethered and Untethered? Should I wait for the Untethered version to come out? Please help as I really want to jailbreak my Iphone!

If you have a tethered jailbreak then you will need to reboot the jailbreak (do it all again) when your device switches off

If it's untethered then it works perfectly normal when it switches off

So by switching off do you mean Powering off the whole device or when it goes to sleep?

Powering off, when you hold the sleep button and swipe or the battery dies

Okay, so I'll just wait until untethered comes out because it seem like to much of a hassle if you want to turn your device off. Thanks for your help +REP!

Is there a reason this has to be done on a Mac? Is there a version that is compatible with PC?

Baseband wrote For all you geniuses out there, this isn't fake you are ABLE to jailbreak an A4 device on ANY iOS NO MATTER WHAT.

It has a bootroom exploit that allows this. It is only tethered because it doesn't have the other exploits to make it untethered.

Thank for making this clear.
OT Thanks for the post, not gunna do this, but can't wait for untethered.
