So I just recieved my RGH the other day, and everything so far so good. Just one thing I need to ask.
So, i have my RGH and my retail in my room. My router is not near my room, so i can not link them both to the router for system linking. I have a xbox wireless adapter so i can play from my room. So at the moment, for the system linking, I just have a short Ethernet cable to link them together. Every time i plug the ethernet cable into my retail, it signs it out of live and such, since it reads as another connection. In order to system link my self, i must plug the cord into my retail, which is then signed out; then do the system link, then have to go back again behind everything, to unplug it from my retail and then sign back in. Which will get annoying to do everytime. I know its just one of those lazy, American problems, but thats who we are.
My quesiton:
Is there a way to prevent my retail from signing out, when i system link, so i can just leave them linked together? Or could I use like a usb splitter to two-way the xbox adapter? Or could i use something like this in my RGH to do it all wirelessly?

This felt like the right place to post my quesiton, as it pertains to my RGH.

Thanks to all who help!!

You can disable the connection to the ethernet if you are on the RGH

What do you mean by this?
And the problem is, when I plug the cable into my retail, it signs out of live.
So i have to plug in, system link, unplug, resign back in. Way to get rid of that process?

Connect both systems to your network and you can system link... no need to get confused its simple.

Wirelessly or wired its the same way.

The system link is setup (Xbox----->Router, RGH------>Router) (KEY:--------->= Ethernet cable or wireless adapter) You don't have to plug into the back of your retail then to your jtag lol

I am not near my router, so I can not connect both to the router. I only have the one xbox adapter. Thats why I was asking if one of those could be used as an alternate, to use with the RGH, instead of having to buy another $80 one, or if they don't work the same. Im looking to get it to where I won't have to mess with wires everytime.

Buy another adapter or long Ethernet cable or if you have a wireless Laptop you can connect your xbox to that to get Internet just change your Lan Settings.

Both consoles have to be connected to your network. If you do not have two adapters then use the Ethernet cable to bridge your connection through the use of a wireless laptop. You can bridge your connection by going to network settings on the laptop then CTRL click the Xbox connection and your wireless connection and then right click and bridge it. I hope I helped and you have this fixed soon.

You can also link as many as these to the one that plugs into your router so you can have 1 in each room plus it also speeds up your connection because it is like having a wired connection

This Is What I Do:

Have Wired Connection To Your Network For Your Xbox360 And Have An Official Xbox Wireless Adapter On Your JTAG/RGH And That Will Connect To The Network Also So You Will Be Able To Join Your JTAG/RGH While Online.
