I was level 9 had a few weapons and quite a lot of money on online.
After a while i needed to go somewhere, i left the game.
Afterwards i came back and lost my level money and weps.
And the question is how do i Save the game????

Pause, go to online and then leave online or when you are online hold down and switch to a SP character.
Although, many people have lost their characters lately so don't expect to get it back.
