Hopefully the research develops into this and they can actually use it some time in the near future!

I don't mean to be such a downer, but there's been a "cure" for several years. It's protein therapy founded by Canadian scientists almost 5 years ago. The reason it hasn't made it to American or other markers is because it is basic components that can't be trademarked and sold. Plus medical companies are making far too much money off of chemo and other highly expensive therapies for a cure to be released to the general public.

Source for this info: my aunt was actually treated at a center in Canada (I honestly don't remember where and if I do I'll update this). She had terminal lymphoma and was diagnosed in America with only two months to live... and the was two years ago.

Granted I've lost a substantial amount of family to various cancers and genetic diseases, so a part of me wants to see something released, but it's highly unlikely in our current system.

Edit: Here is an article outlining the therapy I briefly described in much simpler terms, and it has been around since 2007. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

This is terrible, a viable cancer cure and it's not making it's way into the hands of cancer patients. Looks like drug companies just care about the money, and not actual lives saved. From what I've read, I believe the potential cure has to go through extensive testing, before it can be sold, and the drug companies aren't willing to fund it. But it's being used as a form of treatment in Canada?

I have been hearing this for a while, they need to find a cure quick to save people!

Hope they can find it soon!
