I recently got a hold of a console banned xbox (Jasper motherboard) in the hope that i could install the new R-Jtag hack.

The minimum dashboard required for this hack to work is 15574 and the console banned xbox is on 13xxx (forgot the rest of it but i know its before 15574)

Is there anyway to update the dashboard on a console banned xbox as it cant connect to live

You may be able to download the update from online. I sent in my xbox one time to get fixed and the sent me a disk that came with the latest update. So i'm sure that it is possible to get the update from online.

I tried to do it via usb following instructions on xbox.com then got an error code which stated that console banned xboxs are not allowed to update, i was just wondering if there was a way around this
