Looks do play a big part of it and although that one Creds linked looks nice, its more with less specs. I also love the thin bezel on the LG.

Is there different types of IPS? Last time i bought a proper monitor i hadn't even heard of it.

There are different quality differences between IPS panels in different price ranges. The more you pay, the more you get. When comparing lower end IPS displays, there honestly won't be that much of a quality difference, at least from the reviews and articles I've read in the past. The LG that r00t suggested seems like a solid deal.

r00ts one is VERY good for the price, with a thin bezel that doesn't stick out and it has full IPS, not the cheaply type.

Different types of IPS and other types of panels: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Budget IPS monitors will generally be eIPS.

Yes, budget IPS is the way to go unless you can afford a 120 Hz or QHD monitor.

Good plan thanks for the advice. Now the question is to buy now and not have money until a cheque clears or wait and risk the item running out of stock.
