Can anyone recommend a build that is great for gaming with a budget of $500?

What can you do with $500? Well, you certainly could pre-order the PS4 along with one game as it will perform better than any $500 pc build at the moment.

If you're looking to build a computer with hopes of better graphics than consoles, save some more money up.

I'm not that dependent on graphics. I just want to be able to switch over to PC gaming. I know for damn sure $500 won't play new games on Max. Just want to try some PC exclusive titles, so I need a build with a $500 budget.

You also have to consider that gaming PCs can be much more than just gaming systems. The PS4 may give you a better gaming experience for this price, but it's no PC.

Do you need a keyboard, monitor, mouse, and/or OS included in that budget?

Thats my suggestion for one. The gaming performance on that should be okay but for a little bit more money you could get better parts for not much more.
