TTGxdemonic wrote Yes window 8, will this also help my lag when I watch a video?
Depends when I see your specs. Post all the specs it shows, processor, RAM etc.

The lag could be processor or RAM spikes, which can be caused by quite an amount of things, seeing as it happens here and there.

First of all, Do NOT overclock a laptop, I don't think it's even possible as only certain CPU's and Motherboards have Overclocking capabilities. Secondly, Defragging your HDD is your best bet, as laptops are almost impossible to upgrade.

Well, not impossible, unorthodox at most. You can upgrade the processor a little and the RAM a lot, hard drives can be upgraded. Although defragging is the best bet so far, and the virus scan if he is getting processor/ram spikes.

What I meant is, Laptops have terrible cooling, they get super hot even while idling on the desktop. Plus the range of overclockable laptops is very slim. I've seen it done, but it's never stable.

I see where you are coming from, yes laptops have such restricted airflow and to over clock you need either a lot of power fans and good airflow or water cooling, laptops have neither. The only way to make it stable is the run the laptop outside the case and attach a liquid cooling heatsink to the processor. Completely unorthodox and stupid.
