I agree, but it's just the way it is, I don't think it will ever change. Some people can't live with anyone having a different opinion then themselves.

I believe it is totally up to the listener, because after all who's listening to the music, that's right, the listener. And If you dislike someone else's music, who cares, just don't listen to it and move on. Personally I don't like rap, but I don't go around bashing people for listening to it, I just ignore the music and move on.

There's no point in telling people that their choice of music is annoying,stupid,etc. It doesn't get anywhere, and just causes disagreement, because music is a matter of preference, and since were all different, we may differ with our preferred genre(s).

I like listening to Post-Hardcore/Metalcore, so I hear hatred about my music countless times a day, just because people find it to be annoying and usually can't understand the unclean vocals. Well if you don't like it, ignore it and press on, no big deal.

I notice this a lot in the music section. Normally it's rap fans hating on people who like screamo metal and all that. I think they don't like the stereotypical person who listens to that kind of music therefore they treat them poorly and really hate on their music preferences.

I sense the same thing. I myself mainly listen to hip-hop/rap but I guess because I like such a wide range of music from The Eagles to The Offspring, I just respect everyone's opinion because I know what it is like to have people bashing you.

I always hate it when people say your music taste is shit or that you're retarded for liking a certain musician. Glad someone can FINALLY agree with me.
