-JollyDruid- wrote Why did bungie just give up on halo?????

In my opinion, bungies games will always be better than 343's because they were more community-based. They had better campaigns in all of their games, and so much more. Does anybody else agree with me?

Like many of the other replies. Bungie didn't really quit. Many of the Bungie members that were still fond of Halo went over to 343, while many of the other Bungie members felt it was time to move on to something new. Maybe bigger?

You're judging the future already by saying Bungie games will always be better. And, I completely disagree with "they had better campaigns in all their games." Halo ODST campaign was not that great. Even though it gave the franchise a new feel and perspective, it just wasn't the same not playing as the Chief. I'll admit it wasn't bad though.

Halo Reach on the other hand was just plain bad. The multiplayer did not have the feel of Halo. Sure it had the vehicles and weapons, but the game flat out didn't fit into the Halo Universe. The campaign completely started going off into a direction that was never a part of the true story. I would've preferred playing the original story.

Because of how Halo Reach played out, the rest of the Halo story cannot follow it's plot line and how it played out in the books. (which was amazing).

Bungie had 3 games to gain our trust. Give 343 a chance. Halo 4 was kind of a flop. Not so great, but not a tragedy (besides the ending that never should've happen). Wait till Halo 5 comes out then start addressing your concerns.

^^^ I can count the amount of 343 Employees that worked over at Bungie on my hands. ;)

Not that many went, many of the talent at 343 is from people who worked at other companies or just fresh in the industry.

I love Bungie and noticed how bad Halo4 was so I wont be playing new Halos. Sucks because they were so fun before. Go Destiny!

Bungie left the Halo series as they had bigger projects to work on. If you've paid attention to any of the new games coming out, you'd know about the fact that they're releasing a game call Destiny, which I think is the first console based MMO. The previews I've seen of the game look amazing, and I'm honestly they gave Halo to someone else to work on it.

The people that think oh bungie gave up on halo, you are stupid. Bungie did not give up on halo. Their contract ended with microsoft. And its not easy to get a contract, people think oh they can sign a piece of paper and they would have been able to produce more halo games. Microsoft controlled halo from the start not bungie. Microsoft paid bungie to make a game for the the system xbox at that time, so that they can have more games on there system. Microsoft always had control over halo, bungie was just the producer of the game.
