Sonics wrote I am about to get mine out and i am really nervous, can i hear something about it?

I had all 4 of mine removed in one day when I was around 21 or 22 and I was in the military. My pain threshold is much higher than most, and all I felt was pressure on each thooth(local pain meds no sleep for me)(he was a great dentist) Now the fun begins.... it was snowning when I WENT IN AND FULL BLIZZARD once I came out(2 HRS LATER) his office. I had to walk 3 1/2 miles back to my barracks on the other sie of the post. (no vehicles could get thru) oh I forgot to mention I was stationed in Germany so the snow was almost taller than me. 5ft 4in, I was unable to take any meds after surgery because he knew I had to make it home. Now the pain hit me about 30 mins into the walk and if the snowbanks on each side of me had not kept me from falling over I would have laid down and froze to death to get that pain to stop. I tell you that was the longest walk of my life. I was taking half breath because everytime some air hit anywhere near those sites. I was mind sreaming like I was having twins out of both lower regions of my body(trying not to be too graphic)I almost caught pneumonia on top of the theeth removal and I was on sick call for a full week after. So yes it will hurt, but be glad it's summer and you will have a ride to the pharmacy and home unlike me but also like me..you will survive....Good Luck.

How many are you having out? I had a few teeth taken out around a year ago, I didn't feel any pain because they put me to sleep. It should only hurt afterwards once the numbness has gone away.

It doesn't hurt at all, I had all four of mine took out last year. The only pain I had was when the anesthetics wore off. After that, I took my pain killers and wasn't bothered by it at all. Make sure they give you something to clean your holes out, you'll get food in them if not careful, but you won't die like TheBigLebowski said.
