Okay so where I live we have 2/3 game stores in the vicinity of each other.
One of them is called "GameStation" one called "Game" and one independent game store.
Now if the Xbox AND PS4 are pushing online downloading of games, this could cause issues.
The Xbox ONE disallowing Preowned games is also a scary thought for places like GAME who pride themself's on there cheap Sales of Preowned games and the Good price they give you for them.
Id say that where im from gaming is split like this = 70% Xbox Gamers, 25% PS3 Gamers and 5% PC.
Now the amount of buisness they will loose combined from the "Online Downloads" system will be large but then taking into account the Preowned money they loose?
The only upside is any games brought for XBOX ONE from them will be a full price game, Allowing them to make some back but I dont know if they will break even or even be able to stay in business with the amount of profit they are loosing?
Have Xbox DESTROYED Game shops?
I personally love the feel of going out and getting a new game, It feels different just entering card details and downloading it.. I dont like it really.

CEX will be destroyed, it only sells pre-owned stuff and the majority is games

I never buy used games anyways. Brand new is the way too go

Yes but most used games are still new just been previously owned. No point in spending 60.00$ on a new game when you can get a Used one for around 40.00$

You will have the option to resell that game back to a retailer, but that retailer will have to sign up with Microsoft to allow you to do so. Microsoft won't charge fees to do that, but it does say that "third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers.
Not much has been said about this, but I think stores will be ok.

But if you can only buy new games, all the people who previously bought preowned games will most likely buy them new instead. So I would say that they will stay about the same.

Yes because Xbox One is the only game system out there.
