I got it the other day. Played it for the first time. I thought it was ok. Obviously I haven't gotten very far in it, but Skyrim is not a typical game I would play. I payed 5$ for mine, that was the only reason I got it.

I would recommend, Lord of the Rings: War in the North.

It is similar to Skyrim in some ways. LoTR:WitN have a lot of blood, you can customize you characters, you scavenge for different items, like armor, weapons, etc.
The game is challenging, in a good way. The game gets progressively more difficult, and it makes you want to keep playing. I payed around $18 for mine. If Skyrim is still expensive you should look into War in the North.

I really enjoyed LoTR.

Simply put: Yes, very likely.

Honestly, Skyrim is a great game. It has a near infinite replayability unlike other games such as COD or Halo, which have a limited replayability minus the online section, but then that's a different story. There are a few in the world who dislike skyrim, likely because they prefer the boring reality based games with limited area of play.

Skyrim is a great game. I have it for PC and 360, but I would recommend it on PC because you can get a lot of more gameplay out of it from the numerous amounts of mods, but even without the mods you can find near unlimited amounts of things to do right from the start.

I recommend this game to anyone especially those who have played games such as Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas (which it is quite a bit like). I do not recommend the PS3 version. The PC version is by far the best over the console for the following reason: YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN MODS FOR IT. The next would be the Xbox 360 console version. I have it for both PC and Xbox 360. The game is good for those two systems just steer clear of PS3, which I would blame Bethesda for, but that has been brought to light in multiple other threads.
