It's looks like you just traced over it?
I mean yeah pentool is sometimes used to trace things but that is when it's your own drawing. And something that's this simple of a shape could of just been free handed. I'm not big with the pentool but I get the basic Idea. Try drawing up a design with a pen and paper and then scan it with an image scanner. If you don't have an image scanner you could probably just take a picture and put that on your computer.
Work on that, for now 4/10.

I know it was simple but was my first go at pen tooling I'm going to have a go at a snap back later tonight then maybe tomorrow do a face
