Bugs are nutritious and environmentally-friendly and could help future food problems, according to a UN report.

I heard that on the news this morning, there's no way I could ever see myself eating any sort of bug.

I'm sure you have eaten an insect at least once without knowing it

OP: The only way I could see thing becoming a major factor is if food supplies drop drastically.

Insects are quite tasty..

Also how are you expecting food supplies to drop?
Everyday billions of chickens are born and slaughtered/eaten.
Water is infinite.
Plants are held in immense buildings too.
No food scarce for the west.

I'm not expecting them to drop I'm just saying that insects being used as a major food source wouldn't really take affect unless food supplies dropped. Why would people want to stop eating what they eat now for insects and that sort. Some people have a phobia of insects and eating them would probably be the last thing they would consider doing.

Oooh, I see. Kind of misread that. Well yeah. I like to eat insects (sounds so weird..) as they're pretty tasty if fried xD.

water is infinit but thats only if we dont end up polluting our only sources of fresh water. at this rate we might run out in the next 50 years, and if we do convert existing salt water into actual drinking water we would need billions because the process in doing so is so expensive.
