do you just automatically gain reputation when you hit a certain number of posts? Also, what's the difference of the quick reply and the new reply options to a thread?

Yes, 25 posts = 1 rep power.
People can hand you out rep points. I have 13 rep, so I can rep people 13 points.

100 points = 1 power.

Also quick reply just opens up a little box at the bottom of the post for you to reply. I never use the actual reply button lol.

You get 1 reputation power every 25 posts.
You can also get rep from gaining 100 reputation power from other members.
Quick reply has a smaller amount of options of editing your text and it opens right away.
New reply has to load a new window, but it has lots of options to edit your text and make it nicer such as aligning it in the middle like this.

Every 25 post you get 1 rep power. In the case someone +reps you you will need 100 rep to get 1 rep power. Giving rep does not take away your rep.

Thanks, I'm sure many others have been wandering the same thing as me, they really need to put that in the FAQ.

Quick Reply = Little to no BBcode previews (you have to type it yourself)
New Reply = Easy access to color and size option BBcodes without having to type it in yourself
You gain 1 Reputation power every 25 posts and also every 100 reputation points you receive from other members you get one rep power.
Members will rep you for being helpful and whatnot.
Also you can rep as much rep you have to someone else up to 25.

You get rep power from posts and getting 100 rep points. Quick reply just makes it faster to post
